Features of the Polynomial Biplot for Ordered Contingency Tables

چکیده
For more than 20 years, variants of correspondence analysis have arisen that accommodate for the structure ordered categorical variables using orthogonal polynomials. When visual display from this is biplot, projections linking origin to standard coordinate each category a common feature. In case when column variable, say, consists categories, biplot can be constructed so their determined polynomials which require set priori scores reflect categories. first two are used construct they produce configuration coordinates appear parabolic in shape. This article verifies exact nature relationship and examines various features points. Particular emphasis given focus, vertex, intercepts directrix we also briefly examine impact choosing different on these features. The R function, parabola.exe(), perform calculates included as supplementary material article. Supplementary files available online.

CASOM: SOM for Contingency Tables and Biplot
This article presents a new way of dealing with the self-organizing map methods to visualize by an original way qualitative data or histogram vectors as we can find on the Internet e.g. after the pre-processing of plain text documents. The main difference with other known methods is the nature of the processed matrix: a contingency table. By adding constraints during the learning of a mixture o...
متن کاملPolynomial time perfect sampling algorithm for two-rowed contingency tables
This paper proposes a polynomial time perfect (exact) sampling algorithm for 2 × n contingency tables. The algorithm is based on monotone coupling from the past (monotone CFTP) algorithm. The expected running time is bounded by O(n lnN) where n is the number of columns and N is the total sum of all entries.
متن کاملAnalysis of singly ordered two-way contingency tables
Pearson’s statistic is investigated for nominal-ordinal two-way contingency tables in which we wish to test for identical rows. The statistic is expressed as a sum, the first summand of which is a statistic given by Yates (1948), and examines location effects for the nominal category. The second and subsequent summands reflect the corresponding moments: for example, dispersion, skewness, kurtos...
متن کاملPolynomial-time counting and sampling of two-rowed contingency tables
In this paper a Markov chain for contingency tables with two rows is defined. The chain is shown to be rapidly mixing using the path coupling method. We prove an upper bound for the mixing time of the chain. The upper bound is quadratic in the number of columns and linear in the logarithm of the table sum. By considering a specific problem, we prove a lower bound for the mixing time of the chai...
متن کاملAnalysis of Contingency Tables Bayesian Analysis of Contingency Tables
The display of the data by means of contingency tables is used in different approaches to statistical inference, for example, to broach the test of homogeneity of independent multinomial distributions. We develop a Bayesian procedure to test simple null hypotheses versus bilateral alternatives in contingency tables. Given independent samples of two binomial distributions and taking a mixed prio...
